Hey all, I am usualy around once or twice a day. Finishing up homeschool for the year. Jimmie still behind but I still never intend to send him to a public
school.
It is three weeks until my gastric bypass surgery. And Lee comes home for trial visit on June 5. Just a little over two weeks post op for me. I hope and pray all goes well. My daughter just told me this week she is pregnant again. She lost twins last july. Already had her to doctor once and they think all will be ok this time around. (Hope she gets tubes tied this time) Will be three children for her. She loves babies. I still haven't talked to exhusband, even though both kids are now talking to him. I am still dealing with my feelings on that. Not dealing with the drama and constant fear this past few months has been wonderful. My feelings about seeing Lee again go up and down. I just got to leave it in Gods hands. God bless you all. Please remember me on May 19 with a prayer. gloria |

Gee, what a list! I'm glad I didn't try that. lol
I'm here. I pop in and out. Christa's first visit with her dad was nice. She got lots of new clothes and movies and he brought her home 10-15 minutes early. If he's telling the truth about his clean time, I'm really proud of him. We'll know as soon as he takes his hair follicle test.

I spoke with my son about 10 days ago. It was like the good ole times. Called him a couple of times since without return calls. Something's up, dont know
what it is but he and I are at peace with each other so that is a good thing.
Havent a clue what the future holds for he and I but 10 days ago was nice. Its a crumb that I am grateful to be in possession of. |

I'm still around, but with a full plate, and now dealing with an almost 20 year old alcoholic daughter.
I've still got paperwork to finish up for college, and I start 2 online classes on June 2nd, one will probably be general psychology, and not sure what the other one will be yet. These are one semester classes crammed into 8 weeks, so I'll really have to self-discipline! Thanks for asking, Bobbie, and I continue to keep you and yours in my prayers! Expectations...we try so hard not to have them, knowing if we do we will be disappointed, yet our own human nature pushes those expectations before us in every
encounter we make.
Even when meeting someone for the first time we have expectations...how many more do we have when welcoming a family member, son, daughter, parent, spouse, back into our lives? All that history, the good, the not so good, the totally horrible...our minds and hearts bring it all up over and over, and just when we think we are resolved, the cycle begins again. Part of our problem to begin with were those expectations...we expect others to honor our teachings, to hear what we say, to abide by the morals we live by...how much do we disallow of theirs? While following our own, and expecting them to allow us to lead. It's not a bad thing...these expectations...it isn't good either...it just is. What makes it a hard thing is the way our expectations affect us and our relationships...sometimes it is us who puts up the walls that are insurmountable. Not even realizing that any walls have been built. We harm ourselves with expectations...can often end up calling it anticipation. We csn't even watch a river flow without developing expectations...we watch the current and anticipate the way the water will flow, not leaving room for fluctuations, rocks, fish splashing, things floating on those currents affecting the flow of the water. We can accept that the water's flow changes are other things affect it...things we could not expect...yet when it comes to those we love, we find it so difficult to do so...even while believing we are not allowing our expectations to color our view. None of this is about how expectations affect others, outside ourselves, but only about how they affect us within...some where between childhood and it's wonder at everything both old and new, we lost the ability to give up expectations and just enjoy the moment. |
