Welcome to All
The goals here are to provide a place:
where people can interact with each other by reading and posting,
where helping relationships can be established,
where people looking for information can be matched with people who have knowledge and information to share,
where everyone who is trying to be part of the solution and not part of the problem is welcome to read and post here.
Forum Focus:
We would like this forum to be an area where all addictions may be discussed, and quality helping relationships established.
Please Register - if you want to post here:
You must register as a member to be able to post here. By doing so, you will be joining our small but growing virtual community and circle of friends. It will
also provide you a level of comfort knowing that "spammers" or problem posters will be more easily identified and blocked. If you have not yet
registered Please do so as a GLOBAL member. This will allow you to read and post across all yuku forums with the same user name and login password.
We Welcome your Support:
If you know that these resources have helped you or your loved ones, and you are in a financial position to help us keep them available, please consider the
following:
EzSupporter & Pay-It-Forward: (yuku equivalent)
EzSupporters are able to view and post without adding to our page view costs. Being an ezSupporter is on of the best things you can do to help keep the forums
available, and get extra benefits to get the most out of your virtual support experience. Some people have also directly or via a sent in donation
paid-it-forward to others. (Thank you!)
Donations:
Donations in support of the forums and websites can be made via the links on the main pages of the forum, or via any of the sponsoring websites.

A message to lurkers, unregistered guests-- Welcome to Crystal Recovery Forums.
We are sorry of the circumstances that caused you to seek us out, but if you are looking to stop using drugs, for support in your recovery, or if you have a
loved one who is an addict or recovering addict, you have found the right place.
We will help in any way we can so DON'T BE AFRAID to ask questions or even just vent out. Some of us here are going to have been right where you are now.
We are not professionals and the advice we give you is from life experience, not a degree.
Not everyone wishes to put their problems out for the world to see and we understand that. If you would like to talk to someone one-on-one, send an email to
crystalrecoverycommittee@yahoo.com. It will be answered as soon as
possible.
We hope you find our forums very valuable and will register to share in our on-going recovery.
A few last notes:
Netiquette - (being polite, kind, and respectful in a virtual public place). There are a few protocols, which if observed, can make online
communication a lot more effective and fun.
Manners - As with any group discussion basic good manners apply. It is useful to think of a mailing list/bulletin board/chatroom as a gathering of
people in a room into which you have walked and wish to initiate a conversation. It is polite to introduce yourself and give a few details about yourself and
your interests relating to the discussion topics.
"Lurking" is the name used to describe people who are subscribed to a list/site but remain in observation mode rather than contributing to
the discussion. Its sometimes a good idea to lurk for a little while in a new community until youve picked up the discussion thread or decided if you want to
participate. Some people get offended by being called a lurker but its not intended as a slight and is the general Net term for someone observing not posting.
"Flaming" is the term used for people insulting others on the Net. Flaming and personal attacks on other subscribers are the quickest way to
kill any online community. If you do have to have a nasty argument with someone, its best if this is done in direct mail to that person and sorted out
off-list.
Use of capitals IN NET LANGUAGE, THE USE OF ALL CAPITAL LETTERS DENOTES YELLING! As you can see, it can also be hard to read. So be discerning with
use of capitals.
Some handy key commands - You can COPY and PASTE the relevant parts of the message into a reply. For those who don't know, the manual key commands
to do this are:
Highlight the relevant text (by holding down the left button of your mouse
and dragging) and then
COPY = Control + C
CUT = Control + X
PASTE = Control + V
